2018 Jeep Compass Trailhawk Boasts Versatility

Jeep Compass Trailhawk

The 2018 Jeep® Compass is set to impress. The Trailhawk trim level is the answer to adventurers’ dreams. Delivering more versatility than its competitors, this beast is ready to take on any road.

The Compass Trailhawk merges two qualities that you wouldn’t normally find together: simplicity and versatility. It makes excursions easier with a user-friendly performance system. Access drive modes such as auto, rock, snow, sand, and mud simply by pressing one of the well-labeled buttons on the center console. The Trailhawk stands out because of its ability to tackle both smooth and uneven roads with equal prowess.

Functionality is another perk of the Trailhawk. This ride’s spacious interior provides ample storage space for gear and groceries. It can handle a snowstorm on the highway or a snowstorm on the back roads, showing more versatility than vehicles like the Subaru Crosstrek, which focus more on highway performance. The Trailhawk also comes with is a full-size spare wheel and tire for emergencies.

The Trailhawk also bestows a pleasing ride for both driver and passengers. Despite the engine’s potency, the interior is surprisingly quiet. Enjoy minimal road noise while hearing your favorite music more clearly.

The Trailhawk is incredibly versatile, but its benefits don’t stop there. Check out various impressive trim levels of the 2018 Jeep® Compass at Jasper Jeep.

Fall Service Tips

You probably know that your Jeep® needs regular maintenance to keep it performing at its best. But do you know specifically what type of fall service your vehicle needs? Here are some tips on maintenance for the upcoming season.

Check Your Brakes

It’s no mystery that rain and snow showers leave the roads extra slippery. You should always leave extra space between yourself and other vehicles when you’re driving in these conditions, but good braking power is important too. Bring your Jeep® into Jasper Jeep and let us check your brakes to make sure they’re functioning at their best.

Check Your Tires

When the weather cools down, tires pressure drops. Tires with low pressure aren’t getting the best traction or gas mileage. Keep an eye on your tires throughout fall and winter and fill them as needed. Also check to see that your tires are in good condition and still have deep tread.

Check Your Battery

The last thing you want is to be stranded with a dead battery on a rainy fall morning. Batteries can quickly lose their juice in the colder weather, so have your battery checked now at Jasper Jeep to make sure it’s fit for fall.

First Look at the Jeep Wrangler Pickup

Jeep Wrangler Pickup

Enthusiasts have been begging for an off-road-driven Jeep Wrangler pickup for years now and they’re finally getting their wish. Recent renders of the upcoming model have surfaced to give an indication of what the truck will look like. Let’s just say the designers made style and utility work well together, if this first look is even somewhat accurate.

The next-generation Wrangler will likely boast the signature seven-slot grille with round headlights to start. That’s on par with the styling of the standard Jeep Wrangler. The pickup is predicted to share the bumpers, fenders, and hood as well.

Of note, the truck bed’s leading edge will likely be cut at an angle and fall in line with the shape of the door. Most pickups have a vertical gap between the bed and cab—but Jeep is a trend setter, not a follower.

The upcoming Wrangler pickup truck will likely feature new and improved door hinges as well as pull door handles that differ from the current push-button handles.

The Jeep Wrangler pickup is scheduled to release sometime in 2018. We’ll keep you updated as production progresses. After all, we here at Jasper Jeep can’t wait to see the Jeep Wrangler pickup in person!

Jeep Pickup Truck to Begin Production in 2019

Jeep Pickup Truck Production

The automotive industry hasn’t seen a Jeep pickup truck in years, but change is in the wind. Fiat Chrysler confirmed that an all-new Jeep pickup will roll off the production line beginning in 2019. The long-awaited model will be produced in Toledo, Ohio.

Fiat Chrysler officials originally said production would begin in 2020, but it looks like they’re ahead of schedule. The new pickup will be based on the ever-popular Jeep Wrangler, following its redesign next year.

The Jeep brand accounted for nearly 41% of Fiat Chrysler’s sales, which includes Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Chrysler, and Fiat. The off-road crossover and SUV brand has a strong history of capability and versatility, making it a prime choice for a market where larger vehicles are selling quickly.

The new Jeep pickup truck will compete in the midsize truck segment, which has seen a surge of new competitors in recent years: the GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado made their return in 2015, the Toyota Tacoma has seen an increasing sales trend, and Ford announced that the Ranger pickup will return to the market as well.

Now, a new Jeep pickup plans to enter the race and, given the brand’s track record, it’s bound to be impressive.

We here at Jasper Jeep can’t wait for the arrival of the new Wrangler-based pickup!

Best Tips for Off-Roading

If you’ve found yourself in the driver’s seat of a Jeep recently, you’re probably itching to try some off-roading. If you’re a beginner, don’t fret. These tips for off-roading will get you started on the (off) road to fun and safe adventures.

Learn the Language of Terrain

Successful off-roading is made of awareness. The last thing you want when you’re out exploring is an unexpected (read: dangerous) surprise. Find out as much as possible about your path before you take it. Ask other off-roaders or look at a map if possible. Take a long, hard look at the horizon and watch for places where the path seems to disappear, which can indicate a steep drop.

An SUV off-roading in the mountains

Know Your Four-Wheel Drive

Read your owner’s manual before you head out to learn as much as you can about your vehicle’s 4WD. As soon as you slip off the pavement and onto your off-road adventure, switch to 4WD so you’re set to handle anything from the get-go.

Bring Equipment

One of the biggest mistakes you can make when off-roading is being over-confident. Even the most experienced people get stuck from time to time, so don’t be unprepared for the worst. At the very least, pack a heavy-duty tow strap, and if you’re going alone bring an electric winch that’s rated for your vehicle. Make sure that before you go you read up on how to use your tools so that you can handle issues like a pro.

Five Ways To Overcome Cabin Fever

The famous song “What A Wonderful World” never says anything about cold weather and heavy snow. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a wonderful thing! In case you don’t believe it, here are a few ways to overcome cabin fever

# 1 – Go to the movies! Excessively buttered popcorn is a known cure for cabin fever. It is especially effective when consumed over an action-packed blockbuster.

# 2 – Catch up on all of those books you never read! Other seasons are great for buying books and leaving them stacked in your room. Winter actually provides the time and incentive to read them.

# 3 – Don’t be afraid of the snow – embrace it! You only need to go as far as your backyard to fully enjoy the powder. The activities are endless: build a snowman, build an igloo, make snow angels or have a snowball fight with the family.

# 4 – Binge-watch a series on Netflix. The old days when you had to wait every week for the newest episode are over. The best way to watch a season of television is in one sitting, vegging out in the warmth of your own home, while it snows outside.

# 5 – Go Off-Roading in the Snow! There are a lot of great reasons that your Jeep was made to handle off-road terrain. Sure, tackling Moab is a blast but what about running rampant in the snow? Think of it as snowmobiling on steroids.
